MERKUR Casino GmbH

Milestones

1974: Foundation of CASINO MERKUR-SPIELOTHEK GmbH

2018: Company name is changed to MERKUR CASINO GmbH

Under the laughing MERKUR sun, MERKUR CASINO operates around 800 arcades and bingo halls in Europe. In addition to Germany, where the company has around 350 of its own branches, MERKUR CASINO is present in Spain, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Great Britain and the Netherlands.

Paul Gauselmann opened his first own branch in Delmenhorst in 1974. Since then, he has been regarded as the "inventor" of the modern arcade: the concept of MERKUR CASINOS is based on the standards of a four-star hotel. The success factors defined in it - "first-class ambience", "innovative products and games", "best service and excellently trained staff" - make the arcades the most popular in Europe. In Germany, MERKUR CASINO is the undisputed market leader.

As a casino operator in numerous countries, MERKUR CASINO flexibly adapts to the respective political framework conditions and gambling law situations as well as the regional gaming culture. This enables the company to offer tailor-made solutions for each country.
