Lukas Podolski celebrates his premiere as new XTiP brand ambassador

Complex odds and confusing stakes – that’s now all a thing of the past! Football idol Lukas Podolski shows how easy it is to place bets. As of 1 January, he is the new testimonial for sports betting provider XTiP, a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group from Eastern Westphalia.
The clear 360-degree campaign speaks for itself: focused and without frills, it concentrates on the essentials – as simple as sports betting with XTiP. The campaign will be featured on billboards, online, social media channels and in the XTiP betting shops. Explaining his endorsement of XTiP, Lukas Podolski says: “It’s fun. If I’m going to do something, then I have to believe in it. That’s always been important to me.” The photo shoot for the advertising motifs took place in Kôbe, Japan, in early December. Further highlights with Lukas Podolski will be set in the coming year, in particular during the FIFA World Cup.
“Lukas Podolski is natural, laid-back, candid and authentic – all qualities we were looking for in our new advertising figurehead,” explains Mathias Dahms, XTiP managing director. “We could not have implemented the campaign so convincingly with anyone else!”
Lukas Podolski announced his collaboration with XTiP during the 60-year anniversary celebrations of the Gauselmann Group in September 2017. In his greeting, he said: “I’m hugely looking forward to the coming year and to really going for it with XTiP.”

The Gauselmann Group’s national and international sports betting business is consolidated in the Merkur Sportwetten holding company, a subsidiary of the family-run Gauselmann Group based in Espelkamp.
